light slants

light slants through the clouds
we leave the cemetery
bearing her with us

Your haiku about your grandmother have been very touching to read. I'm sorry for your loss. This one works so well--reversing, as it does, the common logic.

Thank you, Kurt. I had the world's greatest grandmother. Her list of attributes and accomplishments is very long, so I want to honor her. Plus, in this haiku, I recognize her huge legacy that continues.
